After the damming of the White River again in 1959 at Table Rock Dam, which created Table Rock Lake Missouri, the waters of Lake Taneycomo changed. Now Lake Taneycomo Missouri is fed from the bottom waters of Table Rock Lake, making Lake Taneycomo Missouri a wonderful cold water lake. Annually stocked with 750,000 rainbow and brown trout ranging in size from 10 inches to 12 inches, Lake Taneycomo Missouri is surrounded by 40 miles of scenic shoreline. The crystal clear waters are great for light tackle, and anglers appreciate the numerous public access points along Bull Shoals Lake. White, large mouth, and spotted bass are found in abundance in Bull Shoals Lake, and the lake has even seen a few large striped bass that weigh more than 50 pounds.
